First conference deadline looms

Open Source advocates have until Friday, February 4, to submit papers to the inaugural Miniconf to be held in Canberra in April.

The Miniconf will be run over two days on 18-19 April and precedes the four-day 2005 (LCA) at the Australian National University.

The Miniconf is the first conference of its type to be held in the southern hemisphere, said Jacqueline McNally, Lead, marketing project.

According to McNally, presentations will take on two major themes for the conference - User and Community, and Development.
