Microsoft Corp. late last week pulled Internet Explorer 5.5, as well as Internet Tools Service Pack 1, from its Web site's download page. "The bits are simply being updated, and Service Pack 1 will be available again soon," said a spokeswoman for the Redmond, Washington-based company. She said she had no further details about why the product was pulled from availability. Microsoft's Web site on Friday read: "Internet Explorer 5.5 and Internet Tools Service Pack 1 is temporarily unavailable. Very shortly, this version of Internet Explorer will again be available from this location."
