A serviced contact centre designed to provide full emergency response and business continuity needs for organisations, including overflow and disaster recovery operations and remote IP models, has opened in Victoria.
The NEC Business Solutions centre, at Mulgrave, was set up to offer full contact centre functionality including interactive voice recognition and natural language speech recognition systems, voice activated payments, Internet portals, help desks, remote IP operations, contact management software, telecommunications links; it also caters for standard inbound and outbound campaigns.
David Haynes, director, NEC business solutions, said the company saw a real need in the marketplace for a flexible and affordable disaster recovery and emergency response service to help businesses protect profitability by ensuring uninterrupted services. Emergency response and data recovery facilities will drive real growth in this area in future, Haynes said, as companies realise the price they pay for downtime in their contact centre operations. Several such centres are planned throughout Australia.
