SYDNEY — March 24, 2004 —FileNet Corporation, the leading provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions, today announced that its Repository Manager interface for SAP NetWeaver™ has achieved the SAP endorsement “Certified for SAP NetWeaver”.

The interface is intended to provide seamless interoperability between FileNet P8 and Knowledge Management in mySAP™ Enterprise Portal, a component of SAP NetWeaver, SAP’s open integration and application platform.

FileNet is one of the first ECM vendors to attain SAP certification with SAP NetWeaver via its Repository Manager interface.

Integration between mySAP™ Enterprise Portal and FileNet’s ECM platform helps provide customers with an enhanced and unified view of critical information across disparate applications and IT environments. Users are able to manage and access critical business content from FileNet repositories through the Knowledge Management component of mySAP Enterprise Portal. As a result, SAP customers are able to manage content throughout their organisation, automate and streamline their business processes, and provide the full spectrum of connectivity for better, faster decision making.

"Interfacing FileNet ECM with the Knowledge Management capabilities of the mySAP Enterprise Portal enables customers to further integrate enterprise content, uniting disparate applications and data,” said James Rae, FileNet’s Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand. “To help ensure that our customers can take full advantage of SAP’s proven collaborative business solutions, FileNet plans to continue to integrate with SAP's newest technologies and product releases.”

An SAP Software Partner, FileNet provides ECM solutions that interface with SAP business applications, share common architectures, and leverage open standards. FileNet’s relationship with SAP began in 1995 when FileNet became one of the first ECM vendors certified by SAP to integrate content management solutions into SAPR/3®.

FileNet’s onsite location in SAP’s Partner Port, located in Walldorf, Germany enables FileNet representatives to gain access to SAP resources, resulting in enhanced integration and interoperability. As a result, customers can realise a more rapid return on their investments in SAP solutions through enhanced integrations between FileNet and SAP.
FileNet Application Connector for EP 1.0 provides access to content regardless of where resides and how it is structured via mySAP Enterprise Portal, empowering all mySAP users to make faster and more accurate business decisions.
