The Spherion Group has appointed Andrea Galloway as president and group managing director for its Asia-Pacific operation, responsible for overseeing operations across 50 offices and for revenue of more than $300 million.
Galloway's appointment follows the resignation of Peter James as president and managing director for the Asia Pacific region.
Galloway, who has some 18 years experience in the ICT industry in the US and Asia-Pacific, was named in Business Class magazine's top 10 women in business in 1999 and 2000.
Most recently she was the Asia-Pacific region CEO of PinkRoccade and previously was vice president of Lucent Technologies Switching Solutions Group.
Galloway also spent 16 years at AT&T, reaching the position of CEO, AT&T Communications Services Australia -- a role she held for four years.
She is a graduate of the executive program at the University of Michigan and also holds a bachelor of business degree with emphasis in computers and business from National University in San Diego.
