Two more top execs leave Cabletron

Just days after switching CEOs, struggling Cabletron Systems this week received the resignations of two top officials, John D'Auguste, president of operations and Allan Finch, vice president of worldwide marketing.

A spokesman said D'Auguste, who joined the company in January 1998, and Finch, who joined in June 1997, left to pursue other business opportunities. D'Auguste left because he was unhappy that Patel, who reported to him, beat him for the top spot, according to a source close to the company.

The networking vendor previously announced that co-founder and CEO Craig Benson would be replaced by Piyush Patel, Cabletron's senior vice president of worldwide research and development.
