Victorian wholesaler and white-box assembler Hallmark Computer International has signed an agreement with Dublin-based network storage vendor Eurologic.
The partnership sees Hallmark able to re-sell network storage solutions (both large RAID hardware and storage management software) developed by Eurologic to system integrators and other assemblers around the country.
Hallmark chief technical officer Mikhail Mizikov describes the vendor's hardware technology as being similar to "lego blocks for storage". Eurologic's modular approach means that various other storage technologies can be integrated together with its RAID boxes and management software to create customised, complete storage solutions.
As well as distributing these products in Australia, Mizikov said Hallmark will assemble its own complete storage solutions. To achieve this, Hallmark is currently in the process of being certified for Microsoft and Oracle clustering software. Mizikov hopes this certification will be complete within a few months.
"We believe that the market will welcome purpose-built storage solutions that outperform competing server solutions significantly," said Andrew McLorinan, general manager of Hallmark Computer International.
