SMS Management & Technology (SMS) today announced the acquisition of AVOGA, a Sydney-based applications development company.
AVOGA will add $10 million in revenue and 40 staff to the SMS technology services division in NSW.
SMS will pay $4 million in cash and shares (shares are subject to a 12 month escrow), with a further $1 million cash conditional on future performance.
SMS CEO Tom Stianos said AVOGA contributes to two key strategies in the company's five year plan.
"Firstly it builds our technology services practice and it consolidates our NSW based capability where we now have a workforce of 170 across SMS consulting, SMS technology services, SMS enterprise solutions, and M&T resources," he said.
SMS has partnered with AVOGA on several client projects. AVOGA specialises in enterprise architecture, J2EE, .Net, database consulting, testing and IT project management.
