The Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO), Deloitte and the Western Australian Police have made the 2008 shortlist for Australia's best Information Technology and Infrastructure Library (ITIL) implementation.
The third annual awards are held by the local chapter of the IT Service Management Forum (ITSMF) and will be presented at Flemington Racecourse on November 28.
Six awards will be presented, including the new categories awards of best service desk project and service desk manager. Existing categories include best ITIL implementation, innovation of the year, IT service management champion and student of the year.
ITSMF chairman Peter Cross said the shortlist candidates were elected for completing challenging IT service management projects over the last year.
“IT service management has reached a level of maturity in Australia where these awards are warranted,” Cross said.
“This is our opportunity to recognise organisations and individuals who have been champions in the implementation of best practice IT service management.”
Previous winners and finalists include Boral, Queensland Police, Queensland Health, Melbourne University and AMP.
