VIC Govt outsources HR system to KAZ

The Victorian Department of Education and Training (DE&T) will outsource a human resource management system to KAZ Group Limited in a five-year deal worth $10 million.

Sydney-based IT outsourcer KAZ will perform a major hardware upgrade and migrate DE&T's existing applications to the new HR system. The system manages the payroll and leave services of over 55,000 teachers and other education staff in Victoria.

Specifically, KAZ will provide and manage the department's IT infrastructure, a disaster recovery site and services, application development, operations and systems administration, network management and support desk services.

KAZ subsidiary and application development specialist Aspect Computing will provide DE&T with ongoing specialist application and delivery management expertise.

PeopleSoft implementer BML & Associates will also work with KAZ on the tender.
