Adobe Acrobat gets close with MySAP

Enterprise software provider SAP AG and Adobe Systems Inc., maker of desktop publishing software, will jointly develop software to increase the ease and speed with which corporate customers can use forms and documents over the Internet.

As part of the engineering and marketing agreement, Adobe, in San Jose, California, will integrate its popular document-sharing software, Acrobat, with, the business-automation software platform from SAP, of Walldorf, Germany, the companies said in a statement on Wednesday.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Based on what they describe as a shared vision of network publishing, the companies plan to collaborate on providing increased security for customers' communications, as well as improved data exchange by integrating Adobe forms and Portable Document Format (PDF) technology with SAP software, they said.
