Introduction of new technologies and services positions company well for future opportunities.

F-Secure Corporation reported a healthy revenue growth of 18% in its third quarter, resulting in 28.6 million euros of revenues, an all-time high for the company. F-Secure has achieved a continued improvement in its growth rate during 2008. Profitability has remained at a good level and was 7.1 million, or 25% of revenues. The company continues to post strong operating cash flows which were 5.3 million during the third quarter.

The company’s strategically important business with Internet Service Providers continued on an anticipated good level with a 31% annual growth rate. This business now represents 43% of total revenues, and new opportunities for future growth were created through several new partnerships like TDC Solutions in Denmark, Tele2 in the Netherlands and UnityMedia in Germany. F-Secure now has 178 ISP partners in 42 countries, and is the leading provider of ISP provisioned security services globally.

Growth opportunities in the ISP business were also strengthened by introducing a new online backup service which complements F-Secure’s existing security service. Contracts offering the new service have already been signed in both Italy and Germany.

The latest version of F-Secure’s consumer product, F-Secure Internet Security 2009 launched in September, included the new F-Secure DeepGuard 2.0. Its ‘in-the-cloud’-technology with a real-time protection network make it a perfect fit for today’s evolved threat situation. DeepGuard 2.0 dramatically decreases the response time to new, unknown threats by instant recognition of both safe and malicious programs using a combination of local heuristics and online lookups in the real-time protection network. F-Secure was the first company in the industry to introduce an ‘in-the-cloud’ real-time protection network for consumers, and the new product has already gained excellent results in independent tests.

Kimmo Alkio, President and CEO of F-Secure Corporation says; “Innovation is one of our core values. We are very happy that we can continue to innovate and introduce new services and industry firsts in a competitive market. This ability to innovate is one of our key building blocks for accelerating our growth.”
