Nestlé Australia has relaunched its local corporate Internet site after undertaking a rework of its directions on the Internet.
Originally launched in 1998, the Nestlé Australia site was updated in June 2000, to provide information and resources supporting its product range.
Working with interactive Internet agency bizDigital, Nestlé has added innovations to the new site, including a content management system to manage frequently updated information such as news, product launches, home page, competitions and winner details. The system helps Nestlé to distribute the upkeep of the site through to the experts within the organisation responsible for the relevant areas.
Some of the original site has been retained, but redeveloped for easier use, usability has been improved so that at a glance you can view all aspects of the site.
Other key elements of the redesign include: the primary navigation has been completely reworked based on consumer research and site analytics, regrouping of content based on consumer requests and feedback through the Nestlé call centre.
Nestlé's consumers cover a typically broad range - from the very young to senior citizens - through its many products. The Internet has proven to be a particularly powerful medium for Nestlé's being able to address the many different needs such a diverse audience requires.
