Australian Defence Organisation extends long-term Objective contract

 • 22 September, 2008 10:19

Objective Corporation (ASX: OCL), today announced a contract extension of up to six years for support of its Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solution at the Australian Defence Organisation (ADO).

The contract extends existing software support arrangements for a minimum of two years with a potential value of up to $9 million over six years.

Since 2000, the Australian Defence Organisation has used Objective as its mandated Electronic Document and Records Management solution. The solution currently supports over 16,000 electronic document management users and over 30,000 users of ADO hardcopy records and files.

The Objective implementation at ADO is a geographically dispersed solution that supports the Navy, Army, Air Force, research, administration and logistics groups.

The contract provides full coverage under Objective’s Upgrade and Support Program (USP), which includes access to all software upgrades. This will ensure that the ADO can continue to meet its electronic document and records management requirements whilst long-term requirements are considered.

At the ADO, Objective has proven to be a scalable solution, with military grade security, capable of presenting a single repository for corporate information over a highly dispersed and substantial user community.

Tony Walls, CEO, Objective Corporation said: “The Australian Defence Organisation remains a significant Objective customer. This contract demonstrates the proven scalable strength of the Objective solution and our ability to partner with the largest Government agencies.

We are proud that the Department continues to place its trust in Objective as a valued business solution that has delivered long term beneficial outcomes. We look forward to continuing our partnership to deliver new benefits and additional value from significant advances in Objective technology.”
