Intel narrowed its first-quarter revenue estimate Thursday, announcing that it now expects revenue between US$6.6 billion and $6.9 billion for the quarter ending March 30.
Intel previously forecast revenue of $6.4 billion to $7 billion. The company said its microprocessor business is following traditional seasonal patters, while its communications businesses remain weak.
Intel reported revenue of US$6.7 billion in its first quarter last year, a 16 percent drop from the previous year.
