Following a three month pilot, second-hand goods retailer Cash Converters has launched its new online store.
Cash Converters Webshop already has 1000 registered customers and half of those have already made a purchase.
Goods are available for purchase by auction, through the 'buy now' option or both.
The auction process replicates the in-store price negotiation that often takes place as customers seek a bargain.
Online manager Linsey Millard said the time is right to launch an Internet shop.
Millard said the most popular items are games, DVDs and CDs.
The company's marketing manager, Glenn Donaldson, said the Webshop is a natural extension of its brand evolution.
Established 25 years ago, Cash Converters has 140 stores nationally.
