Symbol Technologies extends successful channel partner program to Asia Pacific region

<p>Sydney, 15 April 2004 - Symbol Technologies, the enterprise mobility company, today announced the expansion of its investment in Asia Pacific through the regional launch of the Symbol PartnerSelect Program.</p>
<p>The PartnerSelect program is designed specifically to help channel partners increase both revenue and profitability by establishing an authorised channel to sell Symbol's mission-critical enterprise mobility solutions and services, while strengthening Symbol's position as an enterprise mobility market leader.</p>

Symbol has aggressive expansion plans for the region and expects to more than double its current channel strength in the Asia Pacific over the next 12 months."</p>
<p>The Symbol PartnerSelect Program was launched last year in North America, Latin America and Europe. Comprising more than 7,000 partners worldwide, the Symbol PartnerSelect Program is integral to the company's channel-centric sales model; the new business strategy increases the Symbol sales force's ability to team with channel partners in a close and mutually supportive relationship. Symbol's product and solution family includes advanced data capture devices, ruggedised mobile computers, wireless infrastructure and mobility software and services, which it sells globally across diverse markets including retail, manufacturing, transportation and logistics, wholesale, healthcare and government.</p>
