AGL has inked a new licensing and managed services agreement worth $A2.6 million with Hansen Technologies Ltd.
Under the deal, Hansen will provide AGL with a fully integrated facilities managed service, to deliver Hansen's proprietary Utility Billing software solutions.
The contract value is for $2.6 million over two years.
AGL is one of Australia's leading utilities providing natural gas and electricity to 3.4 million customers.
Hansen Technologies managing director, Andrew Hansen, said the contract is a testimony to its long standing association with AGL.
"The combination of Hansen's industry expertise, proprietary solutions and facilities infrastructure and operations highlights the ability of our company to provide a complete billing solution customised for the unique requirements of our customers," he said.
Hansen Technologies is an ASX listed company that provides proprietary billing solutions and IT outsourcing services.
Founded in 1971, the company has a purpose-built data centre in Melbourne and offices in Australia and the United Kingdom.
