Overture Australia and ninemsn sign web advertising agreement

<p>Agreement increases Overture Australia’s network reach, provides paid listings for ninemsn users and delivers qualified leads to advertisers</p>
<p>SYDNEY, May 11, 2004: Overture Services, a provider of essential online marketing services, and ninemsn, Australia’s number one online publisher, today announced a major distribution agreement that will see Overture’s Pay for Performance (P4P)1 search advertisements listed across ninemsn from May 21, 2004.</p>
<p>Mel Bohse, Managing Director, Overture Australia, said, “ninemsn increases Overture’s distribution network to 70 percent2 of Australian Internet users – including over 6.7 million unique visitors3 per month via ninemsn. This reach gives Overture’s Australian advertisers access to the most extensive distribution network in Australia”.</p>
<p>Martin Hoffman, CEO of ninemsn, said, “Overture offers a sophisticated way of monetising search listings through its P4P and related products. The addition of Overture listings will ensure greater relevance for ninemsn users while delivering highly qualified leads to advertisers”.</p>

Advertisers are recognising the strong returns available to them when they are able to reach customers at the precise time they are most interested in their products”.</p>
<p>With Overture’s sponsored search service, advertisers pay to receive premium placement within ninemsn’s search results. Advertisers only pay when a user clicks on their listing. Changes to ninemsn’s user interface mean a user can clearly identify both the paid and search generated result listings.</p>
