Expanding its global footprint, N-able Technologies, today launched its Australian operations.
The provider of remote monitoring software and business transformation services will be based in Sydney and will sell through local distributor, Lan1.
The alliance marks the first time N-able's N-central 6.5 managed services software solution will be made available to the Australian IT channel.
N-able's local operations will be led by regional sales manager, Derik Poitras, who will be participating in a series of roadshows throughout Australia in 2008.
According to Gavin Garbutt, president & CEO of N-able Technologies, managed services are becoming absolutely essential to Australia's nearly two million SMBs, many of which rely on IT as a foundational element to their businesses' overall vitality.
Market research firm IDC forecasts the Australian IT services market is expected to reach A$15 billion by 2011. Frost & Sullivan predict that the managed security services market alone in Australia will grow by 20 percent annually through 2013.
"Australia's IT services market is primed for growth and the proactive, automated managed services capabilities found within N-central will help ignite this demand and enhance how IT services are being delivered and consumed not only in Australia, but across the globe," Garbutt said.
"We are eager to earn the business of Australia's solution provider and system integrator community and bring to market the advantage and value of N-able's IT automation and managed services technology."
Garbutt said the company has also forged a partnership with Queensland-based solution provider, IT Leaders.
The company has more than 1,000 SMB clients in Queensland and NSW.
IT Leaders general manager, Scott Jones, said before engaging with N-able, the company was struggling to find a partner that could help innovate its services business and increase client value.
As part of its introduction to the Australian market, N-able Technologies will stage its first roadshow event in Sydney on March 6, 2008.
