BT IN THE LEADER QUADRANT IN EUROPEAN DATA SERVICES PROVIDER

<p>HONG KONG, 28 August 2003 - BT announced today that BT Global Services, its business services and solutions division serving customers worldwide, has been listed in the leader quadrant in Gartner's European Data services Magic Quadrant published on August 18. The quadrant is based on “ability to execute” and “completeness of vision”.</p>
<p>Gartner's European Data Services Magic Quadrant covers all providers of corporate networking solutions, integrators as well as carriers, as long as their offer provides and manages WAN connectivity. Ratings take into account voice services, especially converged voice and data services.</p>
<p>Jean-Yves Charlier, chief of operations for BT Global Services, said "We believe this is a strong testimony to the positive impact we are having on the market place through our continued investments in our products, customer service and network infrastructure to deliver world-class managed services and solutions.
