Commercial property owner Investa Property Group has signed a two-year deal with NetStar Australia to manage the company's national data network.
Under the deal, NetStar will manage Investa's servers, firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, switches, routers, and wireless access points across Australia.
NetStar will also supply Investa with its NetManage real-time network monitoring and management service to provide improved network visibility, including 24 by 7 network support services.
Investa Property Group IT manager Mark Bancroft said his objective is to improve the reliability of the company's IT infrastructure, while simplifying the management and reducing the overall costs of IT.
"NetStar's NetManage service allows us to outsource a significant part of our IT management to a partner who has the expertise and track record to ensure our network continues to run at its peak," Bancroft said.
"We have a diverse network with five major offices, plus more than 60 one-to-three-person operations scattered across the country, so it's important we chose a reliable outsource partner in which we could be confident, to provide maximum network availability and prevent major outages."
