Fuji Xerox GM casts eye over channel relationships

Adrian Johnson takes the reins at Fuji Xerox Printers

Adrian Johnson has taken the reins at Fuji Xerox Printers, replacing former general manager, Geoff Croshaw. As well as assisting with the vendor's strategic direction and development, Johnson has been tasked with paying special attention to the printer vendor's channel partners.

"Our go-to market is through the channel, so it's important that the person at the top has that focus and is making sure the entire business is optimised that way," he said. "We run a two-tier distribution model through Ingram Micro, Alloys International and Synnex nationally, along with a few smaller distributors in regional areas."

Prior to stepping on-board with Fuji Xerox, Johnson was the Dell's director of services. He also worked in professional services and pre-sales management at CA and was the APAC director of strategic account services for Sun Microsystems.

"Within each of these organisations I've had some pretty different and unique roles here and internationally," he said. "I think they have given me a very broad set of skill sets that lend themselves to a general management role. Anything from a mixed channel model like Sun through to a direct model like Dell's."

Johnson said he was looking forward to meeting channel partners and discussing their needs.

"I think the most important thing is we're established as a channel business," he said. "We don't have aspirations to have a direct model."
