Staffing services provider, the Skilled Group, is implementing a multi-million dollar enterprise resource planning (ERP) system across the business.
LogicaCMG will build, test and integrate the Agresso Business World ERP platform, which will enable Skilled Group to streamline and automate its billing and payroll processes for clients and employees.
The company will also benefit from more detailed client, employee and financial reports on a daily basis as well as the confidence that future strategic initiatives can be quickly and cost-effectively implemented.
Skilled Group CIO, Trevor Punchard, said the organization is in an expansion phase and has acquired seven companies in the past eight months.
"We required a solution that would deliver a world class back office system and create consistency across our business units while supporting our ambitious growth plans," Punchard said.
The company, he said, undertook a comprehensive assessment of best of breed and integrated solutions which included the major global ERP vendors.
He said Agresso's ERP platform was most suited to the people and growth orientated focus of the Skilled Group's business.
"We were impressed with the flexibility of their solution to manage, pay and bill out our people and the way this can be applied in our continuing changing business environment," he added.
LogicaCMG Australia CEO, Colin Holgate, said the IT services firm is prime contractor for the project.
Agresso CEO, Chris Ouwinga, CEO, said the platform is synonymous with agility and compliance. Agresso is an ERP subsidiary of Netherlands-based Unit 4 Agresso (Dutch Stock Exchange).
The platform has been deployed in Over 2,400 companies and organizations in 100 countries.
