Posturing for an Ace in $1 billion market

EDS today created a "Director of Cards" position for the Australian market.

The appointment comes at a time when the federal government is introducing a $1 billion Access card.

The position is being filled by Dee McGrath, former general manager of consumer and commercial cards for the National Australia Bank (NAB).

McGrath helped steer the bank through regulatory and payment system reforms.

During her six years with NAB, she was also head of marketing and product solutions in the cards division.

She used her extensive experience in payments systems to reposition the bank's cards portfolio and drive double digit growth.

McGrath recently served on the board of Loyalty Pacific.

The federal government has already issued two tenders for the introduction of an Access Card which will be issued in 2008.

An EDS spokesperson said McGrath will be working closely with financial services sector.
