Attachmate extends ACT footprint

25 percent growth

To meet double digit revenue growth in the nation's capital, Attachmate today announced the opening of a new office in Canberra.

The company has appointed business development manager, Geoff Rhodes, to head up the new office reporting directly to Asia Pacific director, Boris Ivancic.

"Attachmate's revenue in Canberra has increased 25 per cent over the past 12 months. We anticipate this growth to continue," Ivancic said.

"Federal Government IT departments are under increasing pressure to provide service level assurance to demonstrate ROI on their IT investments. Subsequently, there is increasing demand for solutions that empower IT management with the knowledge and automation to assure services.

"Rhodes will be responsible for increasing Attachmate's footprint in the ACT."

Prior to joining Attachmate, Rhodes was general manager at Tenix Datagate and has also held the position of national defence manager at Unisys and Oracle.

Last year Attachmate acquired NetIQ for $US495 million.

Together the two companies serve more than 40,000 customers in 60 countries.
