TelstraClear resigns Ericsson as systems integrator

IP network support

TelstraClear has awarded Ericsson New Zealand a three-year contract to provide systems integrator services for its IP network.

The telco re-appointed Ericsson as its systems integration partner, a position Ericsson has held since 2001.

The contract covers support and integration services as well as supply of equipment for TelstraClear's "Private-IP" Metro Ethernet Network and MPLS core.

Equipment for the network includes Juniper core network solutions and Extreme Networks ethernet switches.

Ericsson customer manager for TelstraClear, Paul Barnard, said Ericsson completes over 1,000 system integration projects delivered annually including over 100 IMS solutions.

Ericsson maintains an on-site presence in TelstraClear's facilities providing around-the-clock support.

More than 2,000 service professionals are employed by Ericsson in Australia and New Zealand.
