TechnologyOne enables flexible online permit process for small and home business

<p>Brisbane - 7 March, 2007 – TechnologyOne, the leading Australian software developer, has announced that the City of Charles Sturt has successfully implemented its ePermits solution, providing an online channel for council residents and local businesses to apply for council permits.</p>
<p>ePermits was developed in collaboration with the City of Charles Sturt in response to their need for a user-friendly, fully integrated property and rating solution. The solution developed is part of TechnologyOne’s suite of self-service applications, which is already being used by a number of local authorities throughout Australia and New Zealand.</p>
<p>The e-permit process provides a flexible and time-efficient avenue to apply for permits. Applications can be researched, prepared and submitted 24 hours a day, seven days a week.</p>
<p>“We are always looking for ways to make it easier for our small businesses and ratepayers to interact with Council”, said Sandie Starr, General Manager, City Services, City of Charles Sturt. “ePermits provides a streamlined and efficient process, making the permit application process easier and quicker.”</p>
<p>This process also enables the City of Charles Sturt to implement a new self-service, customer centric business model, which helps to anticipate and meet the rapidly changing demands of their ratepayers.</p>

<p>The City of Charles Sturt received funding of $390,559 through the Commonwealth Government’s Regulation Reduction Incentive Fund, which aims to reduce the regulatory and compliance burden for small and home-based businesses.</p>
