Sharp releases TV with integrated digital recorder

<p>LCD television includes PC card for recording and playback to many types of digital media</p>
<p>Sharp today introduced a new 20-inch AQUOS television with a built in PC card slot to enable recording and playback of video and still photographs from a wide range of digital media.
The built-in PC Card slot can record video as MPEG 4 to a range of devices including HDD Card, SD Card, Multi-Media Card, Compact Flash, xD Card, Smart Media, Memory Stick and Micro Drive. Frame capture from any video source is possible, with captured frames output as JPEG files.
Picture recording and playback functions are built into the television and operated via its sleek and intuitive remote control.</p>
<p>The television uses all of Sharp’s advanced super view and low-reflection black TFT LCD, which effectively reduce screen glare caused by indoor lights and sunlight to deliver exceptional brightness and a high contrast ratio of up to 800:1.</p>
<p>The television also boasts flicker-free, low-reflection screens to reduce eyestrain, allowing for longer viewing without fatigue.</p>
