Polycom, Inc. [NASDAQ: PLCM], the world’s leading provider of unified collaborative communications solutions, has announced two new VoiceStation™ conference phones designed to enhance the conferencing experience for smaller meeting rooms and executive offices, including the first Polycom conference phone to feature Bluetooth wireless support for added flexibility and mobility.

The affordable VoiceStation 300 and 500 conference phones feature a compact, stylish design that is 33 percent smaller than other Polycom models, and deliver Polycom’s award-winning Acoustic Clarity Technology for full duplex, natural group conferencing that minimises background echoes, word clipping and distortion to provide a high-quality voice conferencing experience.

"Polycom is committed to delivering the ultimate communications experience while also making our industry-leading products available and affordable for businesses and meeting environments of all sizes," said James Anderson, Polycom Country Manager, Australia and New Zealand.

"The SoundStation conference phones are an icon for voice conferencing quality and reliability in conference rooms around the world, and we want to bring that renowned performance to smaller meeting rooms and executive offices. The VoiceStation 300 and 500 offer a solution that is small in size and price, but big in voice quality and performance," added Anderson.

The VoiceStation 300 leverages 12 years of market-leading Polycom Acoustic Clarity Technology, which offers crisp voice quality and natural two-way communication delivered through a high-performance speaker and three finely tuned microphones for 360-degree room coverage. The phone’s compact design makes it ideally suited for smaller meeting environments and executive offices.

The VoiceStation 500 features the same voice conferencing quality and performance as the VoiceStation 300, and adds embedded Bluetooth wireless support enabling users to connect wirelessly to a mobile phone for conference calls, or to a computer for use with Internet calling services such as Skype, making it an ideal desktop device. If Bluetooth wireless capability is unavailable, users can also connect using an accompanying cable through an applications port on the phone.

Polycom’s VoiceStation line is designed for offices and smaller meeting areas only, while SoundStation is part of a broad product family designed for deployment throughout the enterprise including conference rooms, and other meeting areas, of all sizes. With more than two million units sold to date, the familiar, triangular-shaped Polycom SoundStation® conference phones have become a standard for voice quality and performance in conference rooms around the globe.
