Victoria's largest electricity distributor, Powercor-CitiPower has extended its information technology services contract, worth $17.8 million, with CSC for another five years.
The utility provides services to 930,000 customers in the Melbourne CBD, inner suburbs, and in Central and Western Victoria.
Under the new contract, CSC will provide Powercor-CitiPower with a range of IT-related services, including desktop, helpdesk, midrange, network, security and disaster recovery.
The utility's IT services general manager Glen McLean said re-signing the contract was an easy decision.
"We have had a long and successful relationship with CSC over the last seven years," McLean said.
"We look forward to CSC playing an important and strategic role in the future programs affecting the businesses, particularly the Victorian interval meter rollout program."
CSC Australia's managing director Mike Shove said the deal broadens the scope of services being provided and allows CSC to add value to the business.
