Interactive media and digital content industry body, the Australian Interactive Multimedia Industry Association (AIMIA) has elected a new national board headed by Telstra BigPond's Guy Gadney.
The board will develop policy and industry standards over the next year, with membership including the ABC, Sensis, Yahoo! and Web development, advertising, and games design companies.
AIMIA CEO John Butterworth said there were a record number of nominations for this year's election.
"This year the elections have been extremely hard fought, with a record number of nominations for seats and large numbers of AIMIA members exercising their right to vote," Butterworth said.
"AIMIA exists because of the contribution and involvement of its members and I am extremely grateful for their ongoing support."
