HP ousted in Woodside Petroleum deal

International oil and gas group Woodside Petroleum has signed a 12-month outsourcing contract with CSC.

CSC has begun a two-month transition period working with incumbent Hewlett-Packard and will start full service delivery from September 1, 2006 for an initial 12-month contract.

CSC will provide a full range of services including help desk, desktop support, server support, problem management, change management and asset management.

CSC Australia CEO Mike Shove said Woodside is putting a great deal of faith in the company.

"Woodside Petroleum will be a valuable partner and a strong addition to our growing diversified resources client base," he said.
