Commander to expand regional ops

Commander Communications is opening more centres in regional Australia.

The company, which has its head office in Sydney, will recruit franchisees to expand its operations with one-stop-shops in Wollongong (NSW), Mandurah (WA) and Ballarat (Vic). It already has two in Tasmania.

It aims to open 14 outlets in the eastern states by the end of 2007.

Owner of Launceston Command Centre Christian White said businesses are very positive about having a single point of contact, rather than being passed from vendor to vendor, for all their communication needs.

Each centre employs between five and 12 people in sales and service roles, depending on location.
