3D Networks partner with Cisco for IP installs

Triple play integrators 3D Networks has launched a new business unit in Australia to deploy Cisco-branded IP Communications.

The company said it will approach the IP telephony and IP contact centre market from a "business process improvement" angle.

3D Networks in Singapore will shortly launch the business partner offering, followed soon by other countries throughout Asia Pacific. The services have been offered in China since 2004.

Chris Luxford, CEO of 3D Networks Australia said the partnership will allow the company to build solutions utilizing Cisco's IP Communications products.

"We have developed the business around voice, data and converged networks, PABX solutions, contact centres and interactive voice response systems," Luxford said.

"We certainly don't believe in selling telephony or contact centres as just an 'add-on' to an IP infrastructure sale ... voice is a strategic communications medium that requires a dynamic approach to technology, process and customer information integration."
