Aurion opens HRMS conference to Queensland Govt agencies

 • 25 January, 2006 14:39

BRISBANE, January 25. Brisbane-based Aurion Corporation will invite the human relations (HR) heads of every Queensland government department to attend its next human relations management solutions (HRMS) conference.

The decision follows media criticism that Australian government and private sector institutions are spending millions on overseas technology, while overlooking proven local solutions.

Queensland government attendees at Aurion’s HRMS conference will join delegates drawn from the company’s existing 100-plus state and federal government customers, and nearly 100 private and public companies. The two-day event is scheduled for fourth quarter 2006 in south-eastern Queensland.

Aurion Marketing and Sales Manager, Paul MacRae, said: "We're using the synergies of our Queensland head office location and the Beattie Government's Industry Government ICT Group initiative, which focuses on encouraging State agencies and departments to use local technology suppliers.

"We're hoping that ICT will help us to attract most of the state's senior HR managers to what will be the Australian HRMS event of the year."

MacRae said the conference will have two main focus points: new Aurion products and services, and an overview of HR and payroll initiatives globally. Delegate pricing will be competitive and discounts will apply for multiple delegates from a single agency.

Suppliers to the conference will benefit from the production of a delegate list, facilitating meetings between interested parties. A speakers list and conference outline will be produced in the next few weeks.
