NETGEAR and Broadband Phone develop quick-to-market, wholesale VoIP solution for ISPs

<p>NETGEAR, a leading provider of easy-to-use, high-performance networking products, has partnered with Australian VoIP service provider Broadband Phone to develop a wholesale VoIP solution for local ISPs, providing them with a simple and cost-effective way to drive business growth.</p>
<p>The new solution combines the Broadband Phone voice service with NETGEAR’s latest VoIP hardware, providing ISPs with a flexible bundle that can be branded and customised to suit their own requirements. ISPs can easily incorporate the flexible, quick-to-market VoIP solution into their existing business line, effectively expanding the type of service they deliver to end-users.</p>
<p>“As broadband increasingly penetrates the local market, Australian consumers are looking to do more with their bandwidth and many are turning to VoIP, taking advantage of the various benefits and costs savings this technology has to offer,” said Ryan Parker, Director of Partnerships and Services, NETGEAR. “ISPs must be able to meet this demand in order to maintain and grow their existing customer base. <p>The wholesale solution is tailored to meet ISPs’ specific needs, with the cost of the solution dependant on the level of customisation required. ISPs are able to select their own call rates, payment plans and service pricing, and can bill customers directly with a branded invoice. Broadband Phone provides a simple provisioning system that allows ISPs to activate/de-activate accounts, order and cancel phone numbers (DIDs), download call details, access daily summaries and check statements. For customer support purposes, the portal also allows ISPs and their customers to see all call details in real time.</p>

The pack costs $550 and includes two NETGEAR TA612V Broadband Voice Adapters, 10 Broadband Phone service accounts with $100 prepaid credit and two real phone numbers.</p>
