Letter: Data on a platter

Your article, Dial a crook to save bucks (CW, September 14, p1) failed to address a salient point which applies to so many of these call centres distracted by keeping labour costs to a minimum. Do they place any value at all on customer data? It is doubtful if they are willing to just hand it over to prison inmates to save a dime. Why bother with security, just give customer data to the crooks on a platter!
