Pharmacy group cuts inventory down to size

Retail pharmacy group Pharmacy 777 is spending $1 million on a solution to cut inventory requirements by up to 10 percent, improve customer service and speed up compliance reporting.

The solution provides a centralized point-of-sale (POS), warehousing, distribution, financials, customer relationship management (CRM) and business analysis in a single package and will be implemented by Precise Business Solutions.

Pharmacy 777 wants to accommodate growth without the need to acquire additional staff and believes the installation of Epicor's Retail Suite will achieve this by streamlining reporting and automating warehouse management.

In addition to centralized back-office financials the software will allow the company to analyze data from individual branches.

This includes demographic purchasing habits and daily revenue reports as well as insight into which brands are selling at any particular point in time. Epicor won the contract ahead of seven other contenders.
