Cloverleaf Communications this week updated its storage management software.
Intelligent Storage Networking (iSN) now supports Cisco's SANTap service; management of direct-attached, network-attached or storage area network-attached storage; and a variety of new services such as data migration. SANTap allows intelligent storage applications to run on Cisco's MDS 9000 Family of Fibre Channel switches.
ISN now includes data migration, consolidation and provisioning, business continuance capabilities and services focused on simplified management of heterogeneous environments and scaling and maximizing storage assets.
Customers can purchase all the modules or just some of them. Data migration allows the movement of data among any storage environments. Consolidation and provisioning allows users to create pools of storage, allocate capacity and expand volumes.
Business continuance allows the asynchronous replication of data and snapshot backup capability.
Cloverleaf's iSN is appliance-based. The appliance consists of two Sun Solaris servers and redundant Fibre Channel and Gigabit Ethernet switches.
Cloverleaf's iSN starts at US$220,000 and is expected to be available next month.
