Quest Software Expands Breadth of Toad® For Oracle with New Functionality for Database Developers and DBAs.

<p>With Version 8.5, Quest Toad for Oracle Now Extends Support for Oracle Auditing, Oracle 10g, Oracle RAC, and Citrix and Terminal Server Environments</p>
<p>IRVINE, Calif., June 1, 2005 – Quest Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: QSFT), a leading provider of application, database and Windows management solutions, today announced version 8.5 of Quest Toad® for Oracle, a highly configurable database development and administration product that is considered the de-facto standard among the developer and database administrator (DBA) community. Version 8.5 of Toad for Oracle allows users to exploit the latest functionality of the Oracle 10g database, and helps them work more efficiently within Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC). In addition, Citrix and Terminal Server environments are now fully supported.</p>

<p>• Auditing Interface, which allows users to administer Oracle’s auditing capabilities, including the ability to view audit trails when compliance is imperative;</p>
<p>• Enhanced Project Management, which helps users load and run scripts and SQL statements against multiple databases simultaneously;</p>
<p>• Export File Browser, a unique technology that gives users the ability to parse and browse the contents of Oracle export files without importing the files into the database, allowing the user to select the particular content they need;</p>
<p>• Integrated Windows Task Scheduler Interface, which allows users to schedule any DDL task from within Toad for Oracle;</p>
<p>• Code Expert, which has been enhanced with SQL Scanning and a matrix for reporting script and PL/SQL data access issues based on five categories – code correctness, efficiency, maintainability, program structure and readability; and,</p>
<p>• Just-in-Time Debugger to help developers and administrators debug PL/SQL code that is written and run from any client server application by directly connecting to the application, to facilitate multi-tier application debugging in real time.</p>
