Nexon completes acquisition of telephony business from Heyday Group

<p>Acquisition includes business, assets, people and contracts to double Nexon’s business and expedites expansion plans for Queensland</p>
<p>Sydney, Thursday, May 26, 2005 – Nexon Asia-Pacific has completed an acquisition of Heyday Group telephony business. The purchase includes Heyday’s business customer base, support and maintenance contracts, and its 20 staff in Brisbane and Sydney.</p>
<p>The acquisition makes Nexon Asia-Pacific one of Alcatel’s largest Premium partners and the largest operation in Brisbane. Heyday’s significant Brisbane presence expedites Nexon’s expansion plans to Queensland. Among Heyday’s customers are Queensland Health, Queensland Police and Alto Group.</p>
<p>Charles Assaf, managing director of Nexon, said, “This acquisition represents a new chapter for Nexon as it launches us firmly into the corporate and government market. Heyday has an excellent customer base, among them household names, and we intend to springboard from this to pitch us firmly in this space.</p>

The PABX business does not form part of Heyday’s core business so the decision to divest the business was in the best interests of our customers and staff.
