Australian farming equipment manufacturer Goldacres has signed on for an ERP implementation for the sole purpose of controlling its production facilities.
Goldacres was looking for a management system for their make-to-order and mixed-mode manufacturing system and selected Cogita, which will use the Epicor product Vantage to replace numerous, non-integrated systems across quoting and estimating, planning and scheduling, production, purchasing, financials and management reporting.
Goldacres general manager Vic Muller said Vantage was chosen because it is ideally suited to heavy equipment manufacturers.
"From a planning and control perspective, Vantage will now provide all parts of the business, including our network of resellers with access to the same information, so that our purchasing needs can be fully synchronized with our production requirements, which means more timely delivery to our customers," Muller said.
Services company Cogita is the sole distributor of the Vantage product in Australia and business development manager Phil Barrett said using the .Net framework, Vantage offers flexibility in allowing the software to change with business needs.
