After holding the position of CIO at the Panthers Entertainment Group for the past three years, James Huckerby has joined Video Ezy Australasia.
Video Ezy CEO Steve Johnston announced the appointment of Huckerby as the new CIO earlier today.
Johnston described Huckerby as a specialist when it comes to turning IT around at large organizations, adding that he has a "true commercial focus, always looking for ways to utilise technology to reduce costs while increasing performance and profit."
Huckerby tackled a broad range of projects at Panthers transforming its IT operations.
He has more than 16 years experience including posts at Woolworths, BBC and Tetley Tea in addition to consulting roles at CSR and the Commonwealth Bank.
At Video Ezy, Huckerby said the focus will be on streamlining the company's IT operations.
“The home entertainment landscape is changing immensely with rapid developments in technology,” Huckerby said in a statement. “This is an incredible time to join Video Ezy to further develop the IT systems which will offer customers even greater convenience, value, and most of all fun.”
