Cincom Launches Latest Version of CONTROL and Environ at NMW 2005

 • 13 April, 2005 11:25

Sydney, Australia) – Cincom will launch the latest version of its Enterprise Management solution for complex manufacturers, CONTROL:2005™, at National Manufacturing Week to be held in Melbourne from 10 to 13 May 2005. The upgrade increases interoperability with the most common platforms and adds user-friendly features that offer leading-edge levels of productivity and profitability for manufacturers.

CONTROL:2005 will be available on Windows Server 2003 – Oracle Database, HP UX / Oracle Database and Windows Server 2003 / SQL Server Database. Paul Hargreaves, Managing Director of Cincom Australia and New Zealand said, “In the ever-changing and consolidating enterprise software market, Cincom is staying the course by delivering industry-focused business solutions, matched with industry standard technology platforms.

“We continually seek ways to further our capabilities in serving complex manufacturing’s business challenges by helping them become lean and accelerate operational excellence.”

Acknowledging that today’s complex manufacturers require global connectivity of systems, people, and devices, Cincom’s Enterprise Management relies on an Event- Enabled Environment, called Cincom’s Environ™, to drive business processes
across multiple systems of record, supporting a company’s enterprise performance management strategy.

The Environ solution leverages MS BizTalk Server, along with Microsoft Windows 2003 and SQL Server 2000 to facilitate new levels in system interoperability, improved scalability, and end-to-end support.

Mr Hargreaves notes, “Manufacturers are looking to accelerate operational excellence by adapting lean enterprise solutions to help them integrate their business operations, automate business processes, and eliminate waste throughout organisations. Cincom’s focus on complex manufacturing makes this possible more quickly and efficiently than any other provider.”

Cincom also provides support for their Enterprise Management to be deployed on a UNIX operating system and Oracle database, as it has for many years.
