Cincom and TallShips Announce Smart Partnership

 • 31 March, 2005 11:31

(Sydney, Australia) – Cincom Australia, a leading provider of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software has announced a strategic alliance with TallShips Solutions, a specialist in warehouse management solutions (WMS).

The alliance provides TallShips and Cincom customers with a fully integrated WMS and ERP solution in both Cincom’s CONTROL software (an ERP system for large companies) and Priority software (an ERP system for small to medium companies).

TallShips’ WMS system, PowerHouse/WMS, enables customers to streamline a number of procedures including raw materials inventory management, delivery to multiple production lines, movement through work in progress, intermediate stages and into finished goods storage and distribution. Combined with Cincom’s extensive expertise in manufacturing and the strengths of both PowerHouse/WMS and CONTROL/Priority, this gives customers a supply chain solution that is seamlessly integrated, web-enabled, flexible, robust and collaborative.

Paul Hargreaves, Managing Director of Cincom Australia and New Zealand said the alliance with TallShips is a perfect fit with Cincom and will give the company a key competitive differentiator in the market.

“We will now be able to offer an ERP solution with advanced warehouse management functionality to meet the specialised needs of customers with demanding logistical requirements,” said Hargreaves.

“By offering a complete solution, this gives complex manufacturers the benefits of a product which better meets their requirements, significantly increases productivity and provides a superior return on investment.”

“Cincom looks forward to working with TallShips to continue to deliver to our customers high value, low cost solutions with a rapid return on investment in a low risk environment.”

Doug Stracey, Managing Director of TallShips Solutions said increasing global competition in the manufacturing sector, particularly from China in the light of the proposed Free Trade Agreement, places a growing emphasis on Australian manufacturers to implement “best practice” systems to maintain competitive advantage.

“Our alliance with Cincom, with whom we share a dedication to successful, cost-effective implementations for our customers, will enable us to deliver practical and sustainable supply chain solutions across the full spectrum of Australian industry,” said Stracey.

Both Cincom and TallShips will be at the SMART Supply Chain Technology Show being held on 1 to 2 June 2005 at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour.
