RSA Security Appoints Glenn Dickman as Director Engineering, RSA Security Labs, Brisbane

<p>Sydney – 18 August, 2004 – RSA Security Australia Pty Ltd., has announced the appointment of Glenn Dickman as director of engineering for the Developer Solutions Group (DSG), at the RSA Security Research Labs in Brisbane.</p>
<p>With over seven years experience in the security industry, Mr Dickman’s primary responsibility is to drive the continued development of cryptographic tool kits and associated technologies from the RSA Labs servicing RSA Corporate.</p>
<p>In his role Mr Dickman is responsible for forty staff working in the engineering labs in Brisbane and ten staff working out of San Mateo in California. He is currently using his extensive experience in the security and critical systems industries to drive local developments for the RSA team.</p>
<p>“I have encountered a group here with the potential to be one of the best engineering development teams in Australia, if not further abroad. It’s my aim to guide the strong knowledge base we already have toward new security ideas and developments,” Mr Dickman said.</p>
<p>“I think I’m lucky in that my experience in the industry has placed me in good stead to recognise opportunities and industry gaps that can be filled with the right kind of technology developments.”</p>
<p>Mr Dickman brings to RSA Security skills and knowledge gained from four years with Baltimore Technologies in Sydney as an engineering director and prior to that, Weavelink Technologies and Internet Security Systems Australia as both technical director and director of software development. Mr Dickman has also worked with Narconi Avionics in England, coordinating with NASA on the British Harrier fleet as well as working with the Australian development team that produced the current Royal Australian Air Force F111 flight simulator used for pilot training purposes.</p>
<p>Mr Dickman holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronic and Communication Systems with first class honours from the Queensland University of Technology.</p>
