Gartner names ACT! and SalesLogix market share leaders for small business CRM solutions

<p>Customer relationship management (CRM) software solutions ACT!® and SalesLogix® today announced market share leadership for worldwide small business CRM applications (up to 100 employees), with a 25% slice of the market as recognised by Gartner, Inc.
ACT! and SalesLogix outpaced Siebel, FrontRange and Salesforce.com in this category of Gartner’s most recent small-to-medium enterprises (SME) CRM research report titled: “CRM Software Applications, spending by SMEs on the rise.”
ACT! and SalesLogix are distributed in Asia Pacific by Interact Commerce Corporation (Interact) and in North America by Best Software, both of which are wholly owned subsidiaries of the Sage Group plc (Sage), the leading supplier of business management software and related products and services to the SME community worldwide.
The two products captured worldwide small business market share in CRM because they’re easy to install, easy to use, affordable, adaptable to individual client requirements and well supported.
According to Gartner’s report the CRM software market will grow fastest in the small business space. Industry forecasts predict an annual growth rate of 5.5% over the next five years.
Larger enterprise players such as Microsoft, SAP and Siebel - who have recently entered the SME CRM market - continue to trail ACT! and SalesLogix in the small business segment.
Today, the ACT! customer base has reached nearly 2 million registered users worldwide. Likewise, SalesLogix’s momentum also continues to grow with 5,300 current customers in SME markets.

In addition to Gartner’s latest assessment, SalesLogix also received the highest customer satisfaction ranking in a recent study by HYM press and CRMGuru. It’s the second year in a row SalesLogix has claimed this accolade, once again outscoring Microsoft and Salesforce.com. In CRMGuru’s report, SalesLogix experienced the most significant growth in customer satisfaction with a 7% increase, more than all of the vendors in the study.</p>
