FRx Software announces integration with Microsoft Business Solutions-Axapta®

FRx integration gives Microsoft Axapta customers in Australia, North America and the United Kingdom greater control over their financial reporting processes

Sydney – March 4, 2004 — FRx Software Corp., a Microsoft company and a part of Microsoft Business Solutions, today announced the integration of Microsoft Business Solutions for Analytics–FRx®, a financial reporting application, with Microsoft Business Solutions–Axapta, an integrated business solution for global, upper-midmarket segment companies. This announcement follows similar, already successful integrations with Microsoft Business Solutions–Great Plains® and Microsoft Business Solutions–Solomon.

“The strong reporting capabilities of Microsoft FRx, together with the power and flexibility of Microsoft Axapta, create an exciting offering that our customers have told us they are very interested in,” said Flemming Beisner, business group director, Microsoft Business Solutions Australia. “With Microsoft FRx, our Microsoft Axapta customers can streamline their financial reporting processes across their entire organisation and across multiple borders, giving them better insight into the financial health of their organisation and potentially a significant competitive advantage in the customer segment.”

Microsoft Axapta is known for its adaptable architecture and its ability to support multilanguage, multicurrency environments for businesses in many industries. Microsoft Axapta helps companies optimise their supply chain and create efficient processes throughout their organisation. It provides a broad range of tools to support a wide range of end-to-end business processes from production and distribution to sales and marketing, human resource management, and fixed asset management.

The new interface between Microsoft Axapta and Microsoft FRx strengthens the capabilities of customers looking to increase productivity and gain tighter control over their financial reporting practices. With electronic report distribution options and built-in accounting intelligence, Microsoft FRx can be implemented quickly to help companies achieve long-term growth.

“We are excited to have the opportunity to integrate the FRx solution into the Axapta business to deliver powerful analytical benefits for the user,” said Michael Foertsch, Microsoft Business Manager, Professional Advantage. “We have been implementing the FRx software for more than seven years and have developed a large team of certified FRx professionals who will be able to capitalise on the FRx reporting functionality now available for the Axapta business.”

Offered as an add-on module, Microsoft FRx integration with Microsoft Axapta leverages a dimension wizard, enabling Microsoft Axapta customers to take advantage of the platform’s dimensional table structure to create detailed reports. Microsoft FRx lets Microsoft Axapta customers gain valuable insight into their organisation by creating accurate, regular and on-demand reports that break down financial performance by specific dimensions such as product line, plant, division and more. These dimensions help categorise financial and business data to provide a better understanding of the data.

Microsoft FRx integration with Microsoft Axapta is immediately available for customers in Australia, North America, and the United Kingdom. This integration will be made available in additional countries later in 2004.
