Cisco Systems Inc. on Tuesday unveiled its business video product for enterprise customers, providing video production, distribution and usage over Cisco's IP (Internet Protocol) network for streaming and video-on-demand (VOD).
The package of products, services and guides provide for content authoring and management; video and audio capture studio; viewing, creating and producing content over Cisco's Web portal, as well as the networking products required for the delivery of live and VOD content.
Cisco is utilizing its IP networking products as well as third-party products and services as part of the business video application. For example, its integrated content authoring and management platform is based on the MediaPlatform 3.0 from Interactive Video Technologies Inc., which the company launched last January.
Representatives from Cisco could not immediately be reached for comment.
Pricing for Cisco's business video solution varies depending upon the number of remote sites and network design, the company said.
